At the annual Sylvan T. Warrington Visiting Lectureship in Ethics and Leadership, we welcome esteemed Broad College alumni back to campus to speak to our community on issues and topics in business that they feel most passionate about.
Jay Farner (B.A. Finance ’95), CEO of Quicken Loans, will be the featured executive speaker at the 2019 Warrington Lecture on Oct. 3. Farner will join Eli and Edythe L. Broad Dean Sanjay Gupta in a “fireside chat” to discuss how he has led the growth of the Detroit-based 17,000-team member company, which has consistently been recognized as one of the best places to work in America.
In 1996, Farner joined Rock Financial, the company’s former brand, and quickly became one of the company’s top mortgage professionals. In early 1997, he became a director of mortgage banking and played a significant role in training and development for Rock Financial. Farner was later promoted to vice president of web mortgage banking in 1998 and helped establish the newly-named Quicken Loans as the largest online lender in the country.
Prior to becoming CEO, Farner served as president and chief marketing write my nursing paper for me officer of Quicken Loans, leveraging the synergies between business marketing, business development and mortgage origination operations. During his time in this role, Quicken Loans launched Rocket Mortgage, the first fully online and on-demand mortgage experience.
